Founded in February 2019 by Sumit Das & Mousakhi Bose, The Hunger Station has grown from a single location in Joramandir, Kolkata to three thriving stores in the Baguiati area.
Sumit's passion for food and entrepreneurship led him to co-found The Hunger Station in 2019. With a background in culinary arts and business management, he oversees the overall operations, menu development, and expansion strategies.
Mousakhi brings her creative vision and marketing expertise to The Hunger Station. With a keen eye for design and customer experience, she is responsible for the brand's unique identity, interior design, and marketing strategies.
From idea to three successful locations
The first Hunger Station opened its doors in Joramandir, Kolkata with a small menu focusing on vegetarian options.
Expanded our menu to include non-vegetarian dishes, embracing India's diverse culinary culture.
Navigated through the pandemic by introducing delivery services and strict hygiene protocols.
Opened our second location in Baguiati area, doubling our capacity to serve customers.
